Level access, modern and tastefully furnished holiday cottage in a former barn for up to two people

This holiday rental is a former barn, which was converted into a stylish two person holiday rental with open plan living/dining/kitchen area and a spacious bedroom with super king bed, antique wardrobe, dressing table and drawers and ensuite shower room. The living room is furnished with a cosy sofa and armchair in front of a wood burning stove, a TV/DVD, radio and a dining table and two chairs. The modern kitchen offers a four burner electric cooker and hob, refrigerator with a freezer compartment, microwave, kettle, toaster and a coffee maker. Cot and high chair available by request. Towels, bedding, and Wi-Fi are included in the rental price. The front door opens onto a courtyard garden with seating for eating and relaxing and guests are welcome to enjoy the gardens.

This is a great place to get away from it all and ideal for lovers of the outdoors and the natural world. Excellent walking and hiking trails lead from the barn to the South West Coast Path with stunning clifftop views of the rugged coast. The nearest beach is 2km away, amd clifftop views just a few hundred meters away. Nearby there are pretty fishing villages to discover, beautiful beaches and resort towns, and great traditional country pubs and restaurants.

    “Das Häuschen ist liebevoll eingerichtet und liegt idyllisch im nichttouristischen Norddevon, beste Wandermögichkeiten, der erste Sandstrand ist leider nur bei Ebbe ein solcher. Ansonsten alles bestens.”

    “The cottage is very charming furnished and arranged. The area is ideal to relax and load batteries. The host is very helpful, hands on and friendly. I will definitively come back some time!”

    “Es ist eine sehr schöne Ferienunterkunft, man sieht direkt, dass sich der Vermieter große Mühe mit der Einrichtung gegeben hat. Die Ausstattung der Küche war auf alle Eventualitäten ausgelegt. Zu bemängeln gibt es eigentlich nur, dass unser Cottage keine separate Sitzmöglichkeit im Freien hatte. Es gab im Hof einige Möglichkeiten, die auch für die anderen Cottages gedacht waren. Dafür entschädigte aber ein wunderschöner Garten, der auch von den Gästen genutzt werden darf.”

    “Eine sehr liebevoll und gut ausgestattete Ferienwohnung; für zwei Personen mehr als ausreichend. Die beiden Zimmer und das Bad waren sauber und schön eingerichtet. Elektrogeräte, wie Kühlschrank und Herd waren ebenfalls gut gereinigt und haben einwandfrei funktioniert. Radio und Fernsehgerät waren vorhanden und funktionierten tadellos.
    Wer sich erst einmal mit dem spannenden Anfahrtsweg von der A39 angefreundet hat und das Wetter mitspielt, genießt dort wundervolle Tage an der Küste von Devon/Cornwall. Guter Ausgangspunkt, um traumhafte Tageswanderungen in der Natur am Rande der Steilküste zu unternehmen. Einfach schön und sehr empfehlenswert.”

    “Sehr abgelegene und ruhige Lage, die Klippe ist innert wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Freundliche und hilfsbereite Vermieter. Im Cottage war alles Notwendige vorhanden (die Bratpfanne ließ jedoch zu wünschen übrig und müsste mal ersetzt werden).”
